LabyrinthMan

Did this for a competition last year, but ran out of time and in the end couldn't submit at all. Brief was to make some edgy superhero/villain and write a short story for him. Idea in this one was that he is a hunter/hunted striking from the shadows with superhuman strength, searching for the answers to his past in the labyrinth that is the City.
Software used: Photoshop, Krita, Blender

The Beast

Took part in the Magicians fan art contest in Deviantart. Noticed the whole thing a week before deadline so made the decision to concentrate to only one character. Beast is the coolest of the bunch so wanted to paint him. 2 days before the deadline I noticed that I had the aspect ratio wrong so I needed to change the whole thing from a vertical layout to a horizontal one. Still got it done in time and placed somewhere in the best 25.

I used blender on the moths and basic character posing, procreate on the hand and face painting and photoshop for everything else.

Old art dump

Found some old work files from my hard disk. I will probably never finish these so decided to do an art dump here. Also went and did some color correcting and quick fixes here and there just to make them look a bit nicer.

Dark Cupid

Once again took part in a CGCookie contest. It was refreshing to draw/paint again, haven't really had time to do it...

Channeler mage concept WIP

First concepts for a character I'm planning to make. She has a backstory and everything.

I decided to try something different and made a slightly chibi version of the charater in lowpoly. It has about 1200 tris and a 512 diffuse map. Also changed some colours to more cheerful ones. I should probably still tweak some colours (especially the skin tones) and I think I could get rid of some polygons and get away with a 256 map.
This actually helped me notice some things in the character that don't work and gave me some fresh ideas, which I'm planning to take into consideration in future concepts.

Shadow Warden Art Dump 1

We recently finished our game project at school. It is a kinect-controlled action adventure set in a post-apocalyptic maya world. I worked as an art director/level designer.

More info about the game can be found from the development blog:

Here is some concept art I did for our game:

Concept art: troll project

Concept art for an animation project me and my friends were making one summer. We had the script and storyboard, but in the end decided that there was just too much work. Maybe we'll get back to it later...

Concept art: Resonance Velocity

Concept art for a game project pitch for school. It was supposed to be an on rails shmup. I had only 3 days to make these (and a few others) so they are quite rough. In the end our pitch wasn't chosen :(
